Are you an Empath?
Are you an Empath?
Do you find yourself on edge? Anxious? Not able to
focus? Feeling sensitive or overwhelmed? Perhaps you are an Empath. Empaths are highly aware of
emotions around them and sometimes absorb other people’s moods.
An Empath is generally someone who is attuned with
their intuition. They are basically a
sponge, taking on pain and feelings that aren’t theirs, especially in public
places. Empaths can walk into a room or
space and just feel if there is negativity or heaviness in the air.
With Mother Earth shifting her energetic vibrations and a spiritual awakening happening on a more conscious level, I am finding that I meet more and more people who are on this path and coming into their “gifts”. This is a common theme for me and it’s no surprise when I hear someone tell me that they “know” things and don’t know how-they-know or they had to stop watching the news due to negativity.
Being an empath is a wonderful opportunity. It allows you to be open to yourself and others, giving a loving and healing experience. However, the key is, when you are ready to. You will want to connect to a sacred place within yourself and place a protection around you and your Aura. When you do this, your energy on a physical and emotional level will not be drained. You will be able to be there for others while not taking on their emotions. Note – to place protection around you can be done simply by stating that intention, saying a prayer/asking your Divine team for help or by envisioning any color you want, to surround you in a bubble or some form of shield.
Empaths benefit from self-care on a regular basis. (Actually, everyone does!) The best practices or rituals that have worked for me in assisting that I am not carrying anyone’s emotions with me are; Smudging (with Sage, Palo Santo or Incense), meditation/breathwork, being in nature, energy healing sessions and salt baths or sitting by any body of water is the best. Water is a wonderful healer that helps wash away worries and stress.
So if this is you, give Gratitude and enjoy, you've got this!
